  18. I am using kermit to connect to a device that expects
  19. binary data. However when I send the data to the device
  20. it doesn't seem to get there. I have tried to connect
  21. to the same device via a socket connection and it works
  22. OK. However, I would like to connect via serial port.
  23. This is the first time I have tried to use kermit in
  24. this way.
  25. I have tried the -i option
  26. I have also tried the <ctrl> \X to send hex data
  27. They don't seem to help
  28.  
  29. Is kermit the correct tool for talking to a device
  30. that expects binary data?
  31. Am I doing something wrong?
  32.  
  33. I am using kermit on a unix system
  34. talking to a port /dev/portx
  35.
